Living Life in Reverse is the first new song from Rumpus Room, in about 10 years. To be honest, we could be more specific, but that would require looking at our back catalogue to check release dates, and who can really be bothered with that.

Having said that, this is not a reformation of Rumpus Room, so don't go calling this a comeback. We have always been floating around, having a laugh, and perfecting… something…

Anyway, Living Life in Reverse is a song that acknowledges the fact that we have taken so long to get off our collectives and actually record something. We did this in true Rumpus Room style, recording it where ever we could using whatever we could find.

Elephant was recorded way back in the 20th century, in the same sessions as our number one smash hit JBS (Top of the NZ Music Alt Radio Charts, but that is another story.. or was that She's Like A Tree? Who knows..). We lost these recordings in a maze of digital incompatibility and confusion and they sat on some data CD's for years, without any way of retrieving the files, until one day Apple upgraded their OS and the old PC files suddenly became readable. Boring story, but true.
